Griffith Centers offers community mental health programs designed to support children, teens, and families across Colorado.
Bringing Mental Health Care Into the Community
For nearly a century, Griffith Centers has supported Colorado communities with compassionate, accessible care. Our approach goes beyond traditional therapy by delivering services directly in the environments where people live, learn, and grow.
By meeting individuals and families in their daily lives, we help create meaningful progress that feels practical, consistent, and sustainable.
Guided by Purpose, Grounded in Care
At Griffith Centers, we believe healing is possible for everyone.
Our work is rooted in compassion, respect, and a commitment to serving those who need support most. From the first conversation, we focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals and families feel heard, supported, and empowered.
We don’t just provide services, we build relationships that support long-term growth.

Programs That Meet the Moment
Griffith Centers specializes in a wide range of therapeutic, evidence-based mental health interventions designed to support families at risk of child maltreatment and trauma. Our services span several core program areas:
Outpatient Mental and Behavioral Health Services (Community Programs)
This core program delivers evidence-based in-home and community-based services for children and families facing risks related to maltreatment or trauma. Our staff work intensively with families to build strengths-based behaviors, teach proven coping skills, and support long-term stability. Services are provided in the home, at Griffith office locations, and via telehealth for those with transportation or access barriers.
ASK (Advocate for Kids’ Success) School & Truancy Program
In partnership with Adams 14 Schools, ASK delivers comprehensive wrap-around services to students at highest risk of disengaging from school. Support targets challenges such as academic struggles, mental health concerns, substance misuse, behavioral issues, unidentified learning disabilities, and family conflict.
Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP)
Our QRTP serves children and adolescents removed from their homes who are experiencing the highest levels of trauma and acuity. Youth in this program receive intensive therapeutic support and typically participate in education and day treatment services designed to promote healing, regulation, and long-term resilience.
J. Wilkins Opportunity School & Day Treatment
This program provides specialized interventions and wrap-around services for students in grades 3–12 at the greatest risk of leaving school due to trauma, neglect, or abuse. Through PRTF programming, Griffith can also address additional grade levels as needed.
Foster Care Services
As a licensed Child Placement Agency, Griffith recruits, trains, and licenses foster parents while providing placements and ongoing support. Services include transition placements for youth exiting residential treatment, as well as adoption support for younger children.
Program Approved Service Agency (PASA)
Our PASA programming supports the intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) community through housing, supportive care, and specialized services, including our new Spec Hab residential option.
Additional Specialized Services
Substance Use Treatment Program – Offering intensive outpatient IOP and partial hospitalization PHP (coming soon) services, integrated with our QRTP to provide comprehensive, trauma-informed care.
Vocational Opportunities for Older Youth – Including hands-on culinary training through Griffith’s Kitchen.
Experiential Education & Curriculum-Based Community Activities (CBCA) – Engaging youth in learning through real-world, community-based experiences.
Animal-Assisted Therapy – Providing therapeutic support rooted in connection, emotional regulation, and trust-building (through residential and day treatment only)
Relinquishment Framework
Griffith’s President and CEO, Tania Sossi, has developed a new Relinquishment Framework to support children and families navigating voluntary or involuntary termination of parental rights – a deeply traumatic process. This training is now being implemented across Colorado, equipping professionals with practical tools and guidance to better support families during this critical transition.
