Host Homes
Creating Safe, Supportive, and Stable Homes for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
For nearly 100 years, Griffith Centers has provided care, stability, and opportunities for youth and families across Colorado. Our PASA Host Homes build on this legacy by offering safe and nurturing living environments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We believe that every person deserves not just a place to live, but a home where they can belong, grow, and thrive.
What are Host Homes?
Host Homes are family-style living arrangements where individuals with developmental disabilities live with dedicated caregivers in their community. This model provides a warm and inclusive home environment, while also offering the structure, support, and advocacy each individual needs to succeed.
Through PASA Host Homes, Griffith Centers matches individuals with compassionate host providers who are carefully trained and supported to meet unique needs. This creates a safe and stable living arrangement where members can develop independence and feel connected.
Supporting Growth and Independence
Host Homes are about much more than housing—they are about building confidence, skills, and lasting relationships. Each placement is designed to help individuals transition smoothly into adulthood and maintain continuity of care without disrupting what’s familiar.
We work closely with families, individuals, and host providers to create individualized care plans that focus on strengths and long-term goals. By emphasizing collaboration and wraparound support, we ensure each member feels empowered and supported in every aspect of life.
Our Host Home supports include:
Safe, nurturing residential environments
Individualized care plans tailored to strengths and goals
Life skills training and community involvement opportunities
Ongoing support and training for host providers
Advocacy and wraparound services to encourage stability and independence
Why Griffith Centers Host Homes?
Many teens and young adults with developmental disabilities face challenges finding stable placements as they grow older. Griffith Centers is uniquely positioned to fill this need, thanks to our long history of serving children, families, and youth in transition. Unlike other agencies, we bring nearly 100 years of experience to every placement, ensuring that host homes are not only safe but also deeply supportive and aligned with each individual’s needs.
