Laura Arisohn
Director of P.A.S.A. Programs
About Laura
Laura Arisohn serves as the Director of Program Approved Service Agency (P.A.S.A.) Programs at Griffith Centers, Inc., where she oversees a comprehensive range of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). These include Individual Residential Services and Support/Host Home, Respite Services, Supportive Community Connections, Supported Employment, Pre-Vocational Services, Personal Care, Homemaker Services (Basic and Enhanced), Mentorship, Behavioral Services, and the organization’s upcoming Specialized Habilitation (Spec Hab) program.
Laura’s journey into this field was shaped profoundly by her experience as a mother. When her son was diagnosed with a brain tumor at just two years old, she immersed herself in learning how best to support him. Through her love and dedication, he was able to live a happy, independent life for 29 years. His strength and resilience continue to inspire her deep commitment to helping others and guide her work each day.
She believes that every individual she serves is more than a participant in a program—they are the conductors of their own lives. Laura is passionate about empowering people to make their own choices, pursue their dreams, and take ownership of their personal journeys by providing the tools, support, and advocacy they need to live life on their own terms.
Grounded in a person-centered philosophy, Laura is dedicated to ensuring that every voice is heard and every need is met with care and compassion. She strives to create an environment where individuals are supported in achieving greater independence or receiving the services they need to live their best lives.
Aligned with the Griffith Centers’ P.A.S.A. mission, Laura’s goal is to equip individuals with I/DD not only with practical skills, but also with the confidence to advocate for themselves and build lives that reflect their values, strengths, and dreams.
