Visitation Services

What we provide

These services include trauma-informed outpatient counseling for children, adolescents, and adults, family preservation, supervised and therapeutic visitation, and behavioral coaching (mentoring).

Therapeutic Visitation

Therapeutic Visitation is a service in which an MA-level therapist provides the family with therapeutic interventions during a visit.

Supervised Visitation

Visitation facilitators supervise the interactions between parent and child.

Monitored Visitation

Visitation facilitators supervise all interactions between parent/relative and child at the beginning and end of the visit (transition times) and during, at unannounced check-ins (once or twice depending on the length of the visit).

Therapeutic Visitation

Therapeutic Visitation is a service in which an MA-level therapist provides the family with therapeutic interventions during a visit. This can include modeling appropriate behaviors for the parents, stepping in when a child is acting out, and/or showing parents how to do basic skills such as diapering, bathing, or overall engagement of child while visiting. The therapist is actively involved. Main goals include empowering and educating the parent on how to care for their child, in a therapeutic manner. The therapist is expected to be present with the family at all times and physical and verbal interactions are monitored.

Visitation facilitators are there to ensure all interactions are child-centered and appropriate. There are no therapeutic interventions; however, the Visitation facilitators may provide the parent with parenting psycho-education material to increase their parental skill base.
